Longtime Long Valley Resident, Zion Volunteer Dies at 99

Elizabeth Frone was a prominent member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Elizabeth Frone stayed busy her entire life – all 99 years of it.

The longtime Long Valley resident died last week at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center after living in House of the Good Shephard for several years, according to her obituary.

Frone lived in Long Valley for the majority of her life and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. There she volunteered endlessly and enjoyed her church community very much.

She is predeceased by her husband, Paul Frone, who died in 1956. That left Elizabeth as a single mother who worked as a house cleaner, nanny, and self-employed seamstress throughout the years.

Frone is survived by a daughter and three grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son.

She will be buried alongside her husband at German Valley Rural Cemetery in Long Valley.
