Welcome to Long Valley Patch!

Editor Jason Koestenblatt ready to serve his hometown.

Hey Long Valley, how ya doin'?

I'm Jason Koestenblatt–but then, there's a decent chance you already knew that. You've probably seen me around once or twice. I've lived in Long Valley since the age of 8 and married my high school sweetheart, Nancy, who also grew up in Long Valley. And now, with our son Jacob, we have no plans of going anywhere else.

I'm the editor of Long Valley Patch and I'm excited to start this venture and serve the community's news and information needs.

I graduated Kutztown University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in professional writing and have worked in the media industry as a reporter and editor since I began freelancing at age 21.

So what is Long Valley Patch, anyway? Long Valley Patch will be your source for news–everything from the township committee meeting to last night's high school sports scores. The website will have a constant cycle of upcoming town events and local announcements, and a comprehensive directory of listings of all the town's businesses and organizations.

Most importantly, the site's content is driven by you. It's extremely user-friendly, and we want you to have a major part in our news cycle. Got a news tip? Let us know. Want to announce a baby's birth, engagement or wedding in the family? Go right ahead, and throw in a photo while you're at it.

So think of us as your friendly neighbor. Not the one that creepily peeks in your window or mows the lawn before sun-up, but the one who lets you know what's going on around town for your benefit.

Our group of contributors is looking forward to seeing you around town while we're covering all the news that's important to you. So when you see us, say hello and let us know what you think.

And welcome to Long Valley Patch!
