You know you are from Long Valley when...

You know you are from Long Valley when:

1) You give directions by telling people to turn left or right at the eagle.
2) You pick up milk on your way home from a general store instead of a convenience store.
3) You had heated arguments about the General Store's new color.
4) You still have "No Mall In Our Valley" placards in your garage/basement/attic.
5) You laugh when out-of-towners get nervous on Big Turn because...
6) You learned to drive on Big Turn.
7) You prefer a quiet, crowd-free afternoon of pumpkin picking and hayrides at Greenway to the tourist farms in Chester.
8) Are at least 35-40 minutes from any major shopping mall -- and you LIKE it that way.
9) Automatically pull out the candles and prepare the generator when you hear about a snow storm...or even a little rain.
10) You know that if your power goes out for days or weeks, there will be dozens of friends who will open their homes to you for showers, a warm meal or even a place to sleep.
