A Washington Township man walking down East Avenue last Friday ended up in jail for intent to distribute heroin, according to police.
Patrick Ninni, 21, was seen walking on the morning of Friday, Sept. 13 by Detective Sgt. Chris Bratus, who knew the man had an active warrant for his arrest in regards to an investigation for alleged drug distribution in Peachtree Village, Lt. Art Adams said.
Bratus stopped Ninni who was arrested without incident, Adams said. During the procedure, Bratus found 20 bags of heroin and narcotic pills in Ninni's possession, Adams said.
Bratus then searched Ninni’s home and found an additional 200 bags of heroin and other drug paraphernalia, Adams said.
Ninni was charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin. He was lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.
