9 Car Burglaries Under Investigation in Washington Township

Wallets, purses, cash and more taken from vehicles in the Flintock Road area, police say.

Washington Township police are investigating a series of car burglaries in the area of Flintock Drive and in the Parker Acres development from Saturday night, according to Lt. Art Adams.

Police responded at about 10:45 a.m. and learned that nine cars had been burglarized, with items such as sunglasses, wallets, purses and $400 cash taken. All of the cars were left "unsecured," Adams said, and were parked on the street or in a driveway.

Residents are advised not to leave car doors unlocked and to report any suspicious activity to the police department.

Anyone who noticed suspicious activity between Friday night and Saturday morning is asked to contact the police department at 908-876-8311.
