An alleged burglar attempted breaking in to a Naughright Road residence while the owners were home, Washington Township Police said.
Just after 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, police received a call of an attempted burglary to a home on Naughright Road near the intersection of Bartley Road, Lt. Art Adams said.
At some point between 7 and 10 a.m. that day, a a first-floor window was pried open while the residents were inside, Adams said. Police believe when hearing noises that alerted the attempted burglar to someone being home, the burglar fled the area without ever gaining entrance to the home, Adams said.
A gate to the rear of the residence was left open between the 7 and 10 a.m., which led police to believe the incident occurred during that time.
Police are asking anyone with information or who saw something suspicious to contact Detective Thomas Falleni at 908-876-8307.
