Califon Woman Again Charged With DUI, This Time After Crash

Police say woman was involved in hit-and-run.

Police say a Washington Township woman has been charged for at least the second time this year with driving under the influence, after allegedly causing an accident in Chester borough.

Washington Township police say dispatchers received a request at 4:31 a.m. Thursday to help find a gray Ford that was involved in a hit-and-run in Chester. The vehicle was last seen heading west on Route 24.

Township police found the vehicle on Sand Hill Road, and found the driver, Joan W. Borg of Califon, was impaired, police said. Borg was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was charged with operating under the influence and refusal to submit to breath testing. She was processed and released pending an appearance in municipal court.
