Cops: Man Flees After Robbing Quick Chek

Crime is third of its kind since Sept. 18 in Hackettstown.

The Quick Chek convenience store on Rt. 182 in Hackettstown was robbed at 3:44 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, and police are searching for the robber, Hackettstown Det. Darren Tynan said.

When officers responded to the call, they were told the robber fled on foot toward Bells Lane, Tynan said.

The robber is described as a thin man, 5 feet and 8 inches tall, wearing white gloves and a red-hooded sweatshirt with white lettering and blue jeans, Tynan said.

The man did not show a weapon during the robbery, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store, Tynan said.

This is the third store robbery in Hackettstown since Sept. 18. The first was at the , the next at . It has not been determined if the three robberies are related, Tynan said.
