Cops: Man Had Pot When He Stole From Target

The following information was provided by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Budd Lake man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after being arrested for shoplifting from the Washington Township Target store Monday afternoon,  Lt. Doug Compton said.

Denis Short, Jr., 21, was stopped by store security when he attempted to steal DVDs with a value of $898.52, Compton said. Officer Robert Brobst arrived at the store and made the arrest after confirming with security, Compton said.

Short’s offenses didn’t end there, however.
