Cops: Man Hid Stolen Goods in Baby Stroller

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hackettstown man was arrested and charged with shoplifting from a Target store after employees saw him putting goods in his baby’s stroller, according to Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski.

Joshua Oswald, 27, stuffed more than $1,100 of the store's products into his child’s stroller on Sunday afternoon before being stopped and held by the store security, Niemynski said. Cpl. David Marut responded to the scene and arrested Oswald after consulting with Target security, Niemynski said.

Oswald was taken to police headquarters and processed. The child was turned over to Oswald’s wife, Niemynski said. No further action was taken.
