Cops: Man Shoplifted From Target Store

The following information was provided by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Washington Township police arrested a Budd Lake man and charged him with shoplifting from the Target department store on Monday, Lt. Doug Compton said.

Jorge Traverzo, 32, was stopped by store security after he attempted leaving with $801 of unpaid goods, Compton said.

Officer Michael Thompson responded to the store at 12:54 p.m. and found Traverzo in the store's custody, Compton said. Traverzo was transported to and charged with 3rd degree shoplifting.

Traverzo was released to the custody of the Morris County Sheriffs Department for a pending bench warrant, Compton said.
