Cops Searching for Gas Station Robber

Hackettstown Police seeking information regarding Sunday morning gas station robbery.

Police are looking for the man they say robbed the Shell Gas Station on Route 46 in Hackettstown with a knife.

The robbery occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday, and the robber fled on foot, heading east from the store, Hackettstown Police Det. Darren Tynan said.

The robber is described as male, with a medium build, 5 feet and 5 inches tall, Tynan said. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white lettering, blue jeans, leather gloves, black footwear and a black mask with no holes in it, Tynan said.

The robber was carrying a black bag and holding a knife, and took an undisclosed amount of money from the gas station, Tynan said. No injuries were reported.

The Hackettstown Police Department is seeking any information from anyone who may have seen or heard something suspicious in the area of the Shell Gas station during the time of the robbery. If so, contact the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3302.
