Cops: Sleeping Driver Had Pot in His Car

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A New Brunswick man had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car when police found him sleeping in the driver’s seat, Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski said.

Adam Rosenberg, 30, was asleep in his car on Paula Drive when officer Michael Thompson drove through the area, Niemynski said. Thompson approached Rosenberg’s vehicle and woke up the driver, Niemynski said.

After a brief conversation, Thompson smelled the odor of marijuana in Rosenberg’s vehicle, Niemynski said. Rosenberg was removed from the car and was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, Niemynski said.
