Cops: Teen Hosted Underage Drinking Party

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 19-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested after allegedly hosting a drinking party, and charged with possession of alcohol on Tuesday,  Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski said.

Officer Kirk Griffin and Cpl. Brian Bigham responded to a noise complaint in the Peachtree Village complex and discovered a large party with underage drinking taking place, Niemynski said.

A 16-year-old female was also arrested and charged with providing false information to police, in addition to underage consumption of alcohol, Niemynski said.

Hurst was released on his own recognizance. The teen girl was turned over to a parent and issued juvenile complaints.
