Cops: Trio Had Drugs, Tried Starting Bonfire

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three male juveniles were arrested on charges of possession of alcohol and methamphetamines after trying to start a bonfire in the woods, Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski said.

Officer Michael Thompson responded to a call near Apgar Road after a report was received of three juveniles possibly starting a bonfire, Niemynski said.

When Thompson arrived, he found the three males, whose names are withheld because of their age, and learned they were in possession of alcohol, Niemynski said. Thompson found them to have methamphetamines as well, Niemynski said.
