Cops: Woman Tried Stealing Goods From Target

The following information was provided by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An Andover woman was arrested and charged with shoplifting after Washington Township Police responded to the Target Department Store on Rt. 46 regarding a complaint, Lt. Doug Compton said.

Officer Michael Thompson responded to the store after being called by Target security, Compton said. The store’s security personnel had Christine Nazaire, 20, in custody, and said she attempted leaving the store with approximately $200 worth of unpurchased goods, Compton said.

Nazaire was then taken to and charged with shoplifting, Compton said. She was later released with a mandatory court date.
