Hackettstown Police Pick Up Two on Warrants

Both jailed after Thursday arrests

Hackettstown Police arrested two people on warrants Thursday.

In one incident, police arrested Timothy Shafer, 26, of Hackettstown, on a warrant issued by Pike County, PA for alleged failure to appear, police said. The original charge was for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said. Shafer was also charged by Hackettstown police as fugitive of justice, and was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility until extradition to Pike County, police said.

In another incident Gilbert Rodriguez, 39, of Mansfield was arrested on a $1,000 Hackettstown municipal court traffic warrant, police said. He was unable to post the bail and was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility, police said.
