Junior Fishers Can Cast at Annual Competition Saturday
Washington Township Police Benevolence Association's fishing derby set for June 29; open to residents age 12 and under.
Who doesn’t love friendly competition?
It’s that time of year again, where Washington Township and Califon Borough residents can test their fishing skills in the annual Washington Township Police Benevolence Association’s Fishing Derby at Koehler Pond on Rock Road.
The event is open to kids 12 and under and begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 29.

Prizes will be awarded to fishers in three age groups:
- 5 years and under
- 6 to 9 years old
- 10 to 12 years old
No prior registration is needed; participants can check in when they arrive at the pond. Refreshments will also be available.
