A Long Valley man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges of distribution of a prescription drug, Washington Township police said.
Bryan Christopher, 26, was the focus of a three-week long investigation by township police, Lt. Mark Niemynski said.
He was apprehended Thursday without incident and charged with three counts of distribution of less than one ounce of a schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone) and three counts of possession of less than one ounce of a schedule II controlled substance.
Christopher was lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Christopher was the subject of a drug deal gone bad in May, according to Mt. Olive Police.
The Long Valley man was arrested after telling police he had $300 taken from him by a nunchuck-wielding Newark man. After an investigation, it was revealed Christopher was trying to buy drugs from the duo and when he handed over the money never received the goods, police said.
