Long Valley Woman Died of Natural Causes, Prosecutor Says

Neighbor found 55-year-old during a welfare check after resident didn't respond to calls.

A Long Valley woman who was found in her home Wednesday after a neighbor conducted a welfare check on Ann Road died of natural causes, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi said.

Morris County Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Carlos Fonseca determined Tracy H. Kohl's death was natural, Bianchi said.

A neighbor called Washington Township Police at 7:10 p.m. to report finding the 55-year-old at her home, Bianchi said. The neighbor was unable to make contact with the woman prior to the home visit, prompting the welfare check, Bianchi said.
