Man Exposed Himself to Kids at Community Pool, Cops Say

Police say white man with stocky build wearing tank top fled after Wednesday incident.

Police are asking for the public’s help in looking for a man who allegedly exposed himself to a group of children at the Hackettstown Community Pool Wednesday.

Hackettstown police responded to the pool at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after pool staff members reported the incident, police said. The man is described as white, between 30 and 60 years old with a stocky build, dark blonde or grey hair, and was wearing a dark blue tank top and swimming shorts at the time of the incident.

The man left the pool area and headed toward Warren Street from the pool complex, police said.

Campers with the Musconetcong Village Community Association, who were swimming at the pool Wednesday, were allegedly followed by the man before he exposed himself, according to parent who spoke with Patch on condition of anonymity.

The parent said a group of children had told the man to leave them alone before he ultimately exposed his genitals to them. At that point the campers told their camp counselors, who reported the incident to the life guards on staff.
