A Washington Township man traveling as a passenger without wearing a seat belt ended up being placed under arrest after police found numerous warrants in his name, Lt. Art Adams said.
Douglas Domarecki, 25, was traveling on Naughright Road just after 2 p.m. Wednesday when Officer Phil Seabeck stopped him for a seat belt violation, Adams said.
After a search of Domarecki’s identification, Seabeck found the driver had various traffic violations outstanding from 2010, including a $2,250 Washington Township/Califon Borough warrant; a $500 Hackettstown warrant; and a $1,000 Tewksbury warrant.
Domarecki was arrested and taken to headquarters where he posted bail and was released. The driver of the vehicle was released with a warning, Adams said.
