No Threat Ever Posed When Bullets Found at School, Cops Say

Investigation is ongoing, no gun has been connected to found ammunition, police report.

There was never any threat to students, faculty or anyone on school grounds when police received a report of ammunition found on the campus of Flocktown-Kossmann School Monday morning, Lt. Mark Niemynski said.

While the investigation is ongoing, Niemynski said the bullets – three in total, two of which were found by a Sheriff’s Unit K-9 – were those that could be used in a pistol, not a shotgun or rifle.

Most importantly, no danger was ever present, Niemynski said, and no correlating firearm has been connected to the situation.

Students were then put into a shelter in place format while police canvassed the area. It was then that two more bullets were found in the area by the K-9 unit.

Later in the morning the shelter in place was lifted and students could return to normal activities.
