Police: Man Arrested for DWI on Schooley's Mtn.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man from Pittstown was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Sunday, May 29, Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski said.

Officer Michael Hade stopped Nicholas Steven Arace, 24, on Schooley’s Mountain Road for a motor vehicle violation, Niemynski said. An investigation by Hade showed that Arace was under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, and he was placed under arrest, Niemynski said.

Arace was charged with driving while intoxicated, having an open container in a vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, and reckless driving. Arace was also issued criminal complaints for alleged possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.
