Prosecutor: Hackettstown Man Had Child Porn

A Hackettstown man has been charged with possessing pornographic pictures of children under 16.

According to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, Stanley Davis Jr., 51, was arrested on Thursday by Det. Dawn Dalrymple for possession of child pornography.

Davis, who was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, was being held at the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail with a 10-percent option.

Possession of child pornography is a fourth-degree crime, and carries a maximum term of imprisonment of up to 18 months in state prison.

The investigation was conducted by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, the Hackettstown Police Department, and the Warren County Prosecutor's Special Victims Unit.
