Hi guys, Yeah, this was the 206 location. Right across from the Dunkin Donuts. Was my local 7-11 growing up in Flanders. There is a 7-11 across from the lake in Budd Lake on 46, but the accident did not take place there.

that spot is dangerous, day and night. Because there is no center turning lane or crosswalk, drivers have to play mind-reader through that section. A center turning lane would help, instead of a huge shoulder that drivers drive into to go around those turning into the establishments there on both sides. Of course I have no idea if that had anything to do with the accident, but going thru there everyday, I would expect that to be the case.

I was actually in an accident myself there in High School. Car pulled out of the 7-11, hit us and we ended up in crashing into the telephone pole in front of the Dunkin Donuts. So that has been a problem for almost 20 years.

Hi genesko-I agree about that being a dangerous stretch of road. My daughter works in that area and I worry about her pulling out of there. That being said, why can't people exercise a little patience and NOT try and get around those turning off of or coming on to Route 206? Is the risk of causing an accident or worse worth shaving a minute off your commute time? Why do people insist on not letting anybody come out or turn in? Especially if the traffic light ahead is red? I realize that after a long day and perhaps a long commute everybody just wants to get home but come on, a little patience and kindness go a long way and may save a life. These comments are not directed at you personally, just folks in general.
