UPDATED: Residents Back in Homes After Suspicious Package Probed

Route 46 re-opened after investigation on Manor Drive.

Residents were allowed to return to their homes Tuesday night, about two hours after a report of a suspicious package shut down Route 46 in the area of Manor Drive.

The scene was cleared at about 9 p.m., according to a member of the Warren County Prosecutor's Office. The detective said there was no cause for alarm.

Hackettstown Police responded to a report of a suspicious package on Manor Drive Tuesday night at about 7 p.m., according to Hackettstown Sgt. Darren Tynan.
