Traffic Stop Leads to Theft Warrant Arrest, Cops Say

Hackettstown man had criminal warrant out of Washington Township, Mt. Olive police report.

A Hackettstown man with a warrant out of Washington Township was arrested in Budd Lake when police stopped the vehicle he was driving on a routine license plate check, Cpl. Eric Anthony said.

Germain Edmondson, 29, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Washington Township for receiving stolen property, Anthony said.

Edmondson was pulled over on Route 46 when Officer Stan Pych learned the vehicle being driven belonged to a driver with a suspended license, Anthony said.

The owner of the vehicle was the passenger at the time of the stop, while Edmondson drove, Anthony said. Edmondson was arrested and turned over to Washington Township police.
