Twp. Cops Take On 4-Mile Torch Run for Special Olympics

Three of Washington Township’s police officers took part in the 31st annual Special Olympics Torch Run recently, helping aid the annual event.

Lt. Doug Compton and Officer Adam Feichter ran the course, along with Lt. Mark Niemynski riding a bike, from Mars North America on High Street in Hackettstown all the way to ShopRite in Mansfield.

Sgt. Earl Barnes and Cpl. Lucas Allen also assisted. The group was presented a plaque for its efforts on behalf of the Special Olympics by Steve Matuszek.
