Such a wonderful event for the community. These officers truly care about the youth, and their dedication is remarkable. Many of these officers at the event are coming off a night shift and others are volunteering their time to be one with the kids. Great event !!!!

I hope " LV Taxpayer " and some of the other blogging haters show up to see what it is actually like to see the police interact with the kids of this town. I have attended this event for years, and it is a testament to the dedication these men & women have to the kids, despite the blatant disrespect they encounter on a daily basis by those who think they " own " them. Think again.

Hey Jack, I bet "LV Taxpayer" will be there along with his appetite. Be sure to save him a foot long weiner.

Is there any chance that the WTPD could host a Dishing Ferbie after the Fishing Derby. A Dishing Ferbie is similar to a fishing derby, however, instead of trying to catch fish, everyone just shows up and throws as many Ferbie's as they can into a lake. Seriously I have a ton of these things... they were really popular once, don't judge.
