Police to Host Free Meds Disposal Saturday

Operation Take Back NJ offered locally at Washington Township Police Headquarters.

The Washington Township Police Department will host an Operation Take Back New Jersey local collection site as part of the statewide initiative on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The initiative is open to all residents and is organized to encourage local community residents to properly dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medicine.

The statewide effort, with the majority of New Jersey Police Departments participating, is spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the NY/NJ HIDTA, and the New Jersey National Guard.
