Unwanted Prescription Drugs Accepted at Twp. Police Headquarters

April 26 marked as drop-off day for Operation Take Back.

Washington Township Police Headquarters will once again host Operation Take Back New Jersey on April 26, where residents can dispose of unwanted medicines.

The initiative is a statewide effort with the majority of police departments participating. In Washington Township, drop-off will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to all residents.

Unused, unwanted or expired medicine can be brought to 1 East Springtown Road for proper disposal to prevent the drugs from falling into the wrong hands, and to protect the environment. Syringes and other sharp objects will not be accepted.

For more information you can visit the Operation Take Back NJ website here, or call Lt. Doug Compton at 908-876-8309.

Glad to see this article. I saw the outdoor sign and assumed it was our guns they wanted again.
