Woman Allegedly Stole Drugs, Needles From Hospital

Hackettstown resident also found in possession of eight bags of heroin, police said.

A 24-year-old Hackettstown woman accused of stealing needles and medications from Hackettstown Regional Medical Center was found in the hospital parking lot early Friday morning also in possession of eight bags of heroin and other narcotics, police said.

Brittany Dill was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of theft of movable property, criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle.

According to Hackettstown Police, officers responded to the medical center for a reported theft Friday shortly before 5 a.m. Dill had left the hospital and was found in the parking lot when officers arrived, police said.

Dill allegedly stole a sharps box from the hospital and admitted to officers she removed needles and medications, police said. The box was later found in a hospital bathroom, police said.

Dill was also found in possession of eight bags of heroin, Suboxone, two vials of Lorazepam and a smoking pipe, police said.

Dill was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility in default of the $30,000 bail.
