105-Year Sentence Upheld for Long Valley Man

Federal appeals court says Roger Day's imprisonment fits crime.

An attempt to overturn a 105-year prison term given to a former Long Valley resident was denied by the United States Court of Appeals in Virginia Thursday, 15 months after the sentencing.

Day led an international conspiracy to defraud the DOD of more than $11.2 million and supplied the military with nonconforming and defective parts for military aircraft, vehicles and weapons systems.

A three-judge panel reviewed Day’s case and found his various claims “without merit,” the ruling said.
