Eighth-Graders to Get Visit from Rep. Lance

Congressman representing Washington Township will visit Long Valley Middle School Feb. 19.

They wrote, and he’ll answer.

Eighth-grade students at the Long Valley Middle School put together letters with questions for 7th District Congressman Leonard Lance this school year, and he’s going to answer them.

Lance is scheduled to visit the Long Valley Middle School on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. to respond to questions posed by the students.

The last time a congressman visited the area, it was Rodney Frelinghuysen speaking with students at Flocktown-Kossman prior to his re-election in 2010.

New Jersey’s legislative districts were redrawn in 2011, pushing Washington Township into the 7th.

Lance won re-election in 2012, beating out Democratic challenger Upendra Chivukula.

The Long Valley Middle School is located at 51 West Mill Road.
