Friday: JCP&L Says Power Back by Midnight

Mayor Short says JCP&L reports all main power lines will be up, but individual line outages will need more time.

Mayor Ken Short said this morning that there were still about 280 customers without power in Washington Township, but utility company JCP&L told him power should be back by midnight.

Customers on the main power lines are expected to be up and running—but that doesn't include customers who have isolated problems between their own homes and the poles.

According to the mayor, calls from residents without power have come from Coleman Road, Ridgeline Drive, Chancellor Way, Fairmont Road, Mount Lebanon Road, Kings Highway, Old Turnpike Road, and certain sections off Flocktown Rd.
