Mayor: Flooding Will Continue for 2 to 3 Days

Roadways are being cleared, but rivers are still high.

All but one tree has been removed from roadways in the township as of 1 p.m., said Mayor Ken Short.

That one tree is currently on West Valley Brook Road, and Department of Public Works personnel will be removing it as soon as possible, short said.

"Chief Bailey said there have been no major incidents in town otherwise," Short said. "But people need to stay off the roads until everything's clear."

The center of town, , is still blocked off and completely flooded, Short said. The mayor also said the intersection of .

"It takes time for the rivers to drain," Short said. "These levels are going to remain for the next two to three days at least."
