Official Polling Locations Set for Election

Five Washington Township districts will vote in different buildings.

While more than 5,000 Washington Township residents remained in the dark Monday afternoon, focus for many turned toward Tuesday's General Election as months and months of campaigning have finally come to a head.

Locally, Washington Township Mayor Ken Short and Vice Mayor Bill Roehrich are running uncontested. But at the county, state, and federal level, there's a lot at stake.

In town, however, many residences and businesses are still without power, and voting centers have been moved. Read the following to find out where your district will be voting Tuesday, Nov. 6:

Districts 1, 2: Fairmount Firehouse
District 3: First Aid Squad (70 East Mill Road); formerly West Morris Central High School.
Districts 4, 5: First Aid Squad (70 East Mill Road); formerly Washington Township Municipal Building
Districts 6, 12: Schooley's Mountain Firehouse
District 7: Heath Village
Districts 8, 10: Senior Center (34 East Springtown Road); formerly Flocktown-Kossmann School
Districts 9, 13: Senior Center
District 11: Hastings Square Pool House

While the municipal building does have electricity, voting will not be held there as machines were dropped off prior to the power restoration at the locations designated by the township.
