Officials To Be Sworn In Wednesday Night

Committee to appoint mayor, vice mayor for 2013.

The annual Washington Township reorganization meeting has been set for Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, with committeeman and other town officials swearing into their positions for the New Year.

Committeemen Ken Short and Bill Roehrich, who both ran unopposed in the November General Election, will be sworn in to their new three-year terms. This is the start of Short’s fifth term, and the beginning of Roehrich’s second.

During the meeting, as is custom, the five-member committee will vote to appoint a vice mayor, which was held by Roehrich in 2012, and appoint the mayor, which was occupied by Short in 2012.
