Sandy Shuts Town Offices, Bumps Major Meeting

Washington Township municipal building closed Monday.

The meeting of mayors from the area along with representatives from various boards of education scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30 has been postponed for a date to be determined, due to the impending hurricane.

Originally slated for 7 p.m. at the Washington Township Municipal Building, and widely expected to be the final meeting of elected officials attempting to agree on a feasibility regarding the area's schools, suspected damage from Hurricane Sandy has forced the meeting to be moved.

A new meeting time and date has not yet been determined.
