Short, Roehrich to Run Unopposed in Primary

No challengers present themselves prior to filing deadline on Monday.

Washington Township Mayor Ken Short and Vice Mayor Bill Roehrich, whose terms are up for re-election this year, will run unopposed in the June Republican Primary.

No challengers filed petitions to run for office prior to the 4 p.m. deadline Monday, April 2, according to township clerk Nina DiGregorio.

Short will be seeking his fifth consecutive three-year term on the township committee in November. This is Short's third consecutive year as mayor.

Roerhich will be vying for his second three-year term. This is Roehrich's first year as vice mayor.

The Primary election is Tuesday, June 5.
