Twp. Makes Appointments, Sets Budget Schedule

Three budget review sessions put in place.

The Washington Township Committee announced its 2012 budget meeting dates, along with appointments between members and town groups and departments at its on Jan. 7.

The governing body has scheduled three budget meetings thus far, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 25; Monday, Feb. 6; and Monday, Feb. 13. All meetings are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the .

Additional budget meetings will be scheduled and held of necessary.

Notable appointments and liaisons for the committee include and Committeeman James LiaBraaten serving as police commissioner and assistant police commissioner, respectively. Committeeman Tracy Tobin and Committeeman David Kennedy will serve as fire commissioner and assistant fire commissioner, respectively.

Kennedy and Roehrich will serve as commissioner and assistant commissioner for public works, respectively. The public works appointment oversees all buildings, grounds and recreation in the township.
