Twp. Volunteer Committees Seeking Resident Members

Half dozen boards and committees searching for members and alternates.

Volunteer committees in Washington Township are seeking members as many seats have opened recently.

Applications for serving on the Economic Sustainability Committee, Environmental Commission, Open Space Committee, Recreation Advisory Committee, and alternates for the Historic Preservation Commission and Board of Health are currently being accepted.

These positions do not require election; residents are appointed to each body after the application and interview process.

All positions are volunteer only.

There are currently 13 volunteer committees in Washington Township run by more than 100 residents. Applications can be returned to the Washington Township Municipal Building on Schooley’s Mountain Road.

Most boards and committees meet one or two times each month at either the municipal building or Senior Center at Rock Spring Park.
