Italy, Spain to host locals looking for real-world experience.

Two students with Long Valley roots are heading overseas during their winter break all in the name of education.

Megan Monaco and Eric Szot, both studying at the University of Delaware, will take part in the school’s internationally recognized study abroad program, where more than 1,000 pupils will travel to 24 different countries as part of 50 different programs, the school said.

The winter program spans 39 academic subjects and students have the opportunity to earn up to seven academic credits over the course of five weeks.
