2-Hour Delayed Opening For All Local Schools Tuesday

Major Monday storm has aftermath impact into Tuesday.

A smothering winter storm that dumped some 10 inches of snow on Washington Township Monday was cause enough to open the doors late on Tuesday, as both the Washington Township Schools and West Morris Regional High School districts have announced delayed openings.

Because of the early February storm, both districts were closed Monday, and for good reason. Snow began accumulating before sunrise and became extremely heavy at times during the morning hours.

With the Monday closure, the Washington Township School district exhausted its four snow days, while West Morris Regional used its third.
