High School Dismissed at Regular Time

School, transportation department coordinating long afternoon.

West Morris Central High School will have a regular dismissal this afternoon, Assistant Principal Gil Moscatello said.

"If we let the kids out earlier, it will just feed an already bad situation," Moscatello said about adding vehicles to the roadways throughout Washington Township.

Because there are bus runs for other schools prior to the high school's dismissal, buses will likely be delayed. Moscatello said when the first batch of vehicles arrives, in the range of 10 to 12 buses, that group of students will be released.

Any remaining students will then be gathered in the school's cafeteria and will be supervised by staff. Each bus route will be reported to the high school administrators when it is completed so school officials–and parents–are aware of each student's location.

All extra-curricular activities have been canceled for Wednesday.
