The ins and outs of what you need to know before hitting the polls.

In case you haven’t heard, today is school election day, and there’s plenty you need to know about regarding what’s on the ballot. Here’s a list of topics you should be aware of.

You Need to Know Where and When to Vote: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Washington Township, and can be accessed at ; and .

You Need to Know About Budgets: Washington Township is served by two school districts; the Washington Township (grades K-8) and West Morris Regional (grades 9-12). This means you will be voting for two separate budgets. The Washington Township budget is a 0.41 percent increase over last year’s, and the West Morris Regional budget is a 0.48 percent increase over 2010. For more info on the K-8 budget, .
