Long Valley Girl Achieves NJ Recognition for Artwork

Kossmann student receives honorable mention in NJPTA competition.

From second grader to statewide-recognized artist, March was pretty amazing for Natalia Wolinski.

The Kossmann Elementary school student received an Award of Merit for her artwork in the annual PTA Reflections in the Arts Program recently, just one of three to be recognized in New Jersey at the kindergarten through second grade level.

Wolinski moved on to the county level from the district-wide competition with her visual arts entry, titled, “Our Family: 100 Years in America.” Four students – Wolinski, Julia Davo, Gabriella Nowak, and Caitryn Tronoski all earned prizes in the Morris County PTA competition and went on to compete at the state level.

But Wolinski was the only one to earn an award, the equivalent of an honorable mention. Her work was on display at the New Jersey Parent Teacher Association Annual Convention that took place in March.
