LVMS Promotes 344 Students to High School

Eighth grade graduation was held Thursday.

Long Valley Middle School promoted 344 eighth grade students to high school on Thursday night, and recognized more than 100 of those students with awards in various categories.

The awards were given for excellence in athletics, academic achievement, effort, citizenship and kindness, an artistic excellence. Awards were sponsored by: the Washington Township Board of Education; Long Valley Middle School Parent Teacher Association; Washington Township Education Association; the Long Valley Middle School Student Government; Chester-Long Valley Rotary Club; Long Valley Raiders Cheerleading Association; Long Valley Junior Women’s Club; Washington Township PBA Local 301; and the Long Valley Women’s Club.

Members of the Middle School chorus sang Give Me Wings, and all 344 students received diplomas from Superintendent Jeff Mohre and Board of Education President Michael Rec.
