No Snow Means No School For WMC

President's Day will be holiday for students, staff as originally scheduled.

For staff and students, President’s Day may be a bit confusing this year.

The nationally recognized holiday, which falls on Feb. 20 this year, was, as usual, scheduled to be a day off from school at the beginning of the calendar year.

But because of an influx of , the board of education voted to send students and teachers to school on the holiday to make up for one of those days.

Until Tuesday night, that is.

Because of the lack of inclement weather and no days off needed since the , The West Morris Regional Board of Education voted to give the district the day off on President’s Day.

So what was originally a day off and turned into a half day schedule is now a day off. Again.  

The district lost four school days to inclement weather over the first seven weeks of the year and had a school day in session on Martin Luther King Day in January.
